Recent catalogs are showing the bleeders with threaded nuts rather than the open bleeder. I have never owned a new C1, but have been involved with these old cars for a long time, were they originally equipped with the products you see in the catalogs?

David;
My '59 (assembled Dec. '58) had the threaded nuts. The replacement cylinders have the open bleeders.
Agree! I have been involved with old Corvettes for many years, mostly as a driver who had to repair my own and am one who readily says I do not know it all!
The original bleeders thru 59 and maybe into 60 had a 10-32 hex head bolt with a star washer screwed into it. I believe this was to keep dirt out of them. Yes the judges are looking for them.
