Where should my total timing be on my '61 stock FI? I have my '65 set at 36* @ around 3000. Should the '61 be the same? Thanks, Larry

34*-36* total timing should work fine for you. Your 1110914 distributor centrifugal advance spec is 0*-2* @ 1200 rpm, 1.6*-8* @ 3900 rpm, and (max) 20*-24* @ 6000 rpm. If you map your advance curve and it matches, initial timing of 10*-12* BTDC should put you in business.

Do you know for sure that your '65 isn't advancing any further above 3000 rpm? You need to rev it up until it stops advancing to confirm the timing map.
