'61 Seat Adjuster Mounting Bolts

I need to replace the four (4) bolts, two per seat, that attach the front of the seat adjusters to the seat. These appear to be 5/16-18 x 1/2 inch long with what I am guessing to be a "clutch head" (?) recess to fit a tool into. None of the C1 parts catalogs (Corvette Central, Ecklers, Paragon) list such a piece of hardware. Can anyone please suggest a source?

If you have a 1961 Assembly Instruction Manual (AIM), get the GM part number for the bolt and post here on the Technical Discussion. There are helpful gentlemen on this forum that will look up the part number and provide details (in most cases).

if you need the clutch head screw driver, snap on and craftsman have such a critter. if you need the clutch head screws, send me an email and i'll send you a pair, on the cuff.mike

Thanks, Mike. Actually, I need four (4), a pair for each seat. I managed to distort the all of the clutch heads when disassembling the seat adjusters on both seats. I'll be more than happy to pay you for them plus the postage. Especially since I can't find replacements locally. If you would PM me your email address, I'll send you my snail mail address. jack: i thought i had a bunch of the fastners but only have one spare. its a 3/8-18 x 5/8" long thread and i suspect you can buy them from Restoration supply, windbur pa phone # 1 814 467 9842. GOOD LUCK,MIKE

Anybody know why this particular model ('61) had clutch head fasteners for the front brackets of the seat adjusters? Just curious.
