63 front shock tags

What tags (if any) go on the front shocks of a 63. I used EL tags and told "EL code not typical production". Can't remember if they told me what typical production was.

The JG doesn't specifiy the code, only that the sticker should be there. Your judge should have specified what code he expected to see if EL wasn't good enough for him.

Some believe there should be no sticker at all for 63, but instead a daub of brownish/yellow paint.

Agree with Phil, 63 shocks have no stickers.

I've seen tan paint daubs on the lower eye of 63 front STD shocks and
blue paint on 63 Z06 front and rear shocks.

If you need more proof look in your AIM on section 4 sheet 7.
It clearly states........ " shock absorber asm color code -plain,
RPOZ06 -color code blue". Bob
