Re: NCM hotel recommendation
Seems to me we always stay at the Super 8. Here is a list of hotels from the museum website. If you like a little simple place to eat, there is a neat little place called the Brickyard Cafe right down the road behind the Harley Shop. Not fancy, but good food and service when I was last there.

Re: NCM hotel recommendation
Hi David,
My wife and I were in Bowling Green Sunday and Monday 2/13-14/11 and stayed at:
Holiday Inn University Plaza
1021 Wilkinson Trace
Bowling Green, KY 42103
(270) 745-0088
www.holidayinnbowlinggreen.com
A very nice hotel. All rooms open indoors to a huge 7 story water fall. It could hold a regional event easily and has a convention center attached to it. It is 4 miles from the museum.
We toured the NCM the next day which has really changed since my last visit about 4 years ago. This is a first class museum. We also took the Assembly Plant Tour which was amazing. Be sure to check their tour schedules at http://www.bowlinggreenassemblyplant.com/home.htm so you are able to do both.Terry Buchanan

Re: NCM hotel recommendation
Thanks. Based on her own research, my wife picked the Hilton Garden. I did both the museum and the plant tour many years ago with my son. Enjoyed both. Our schedule puts us near Bowling Green Friday night, so we will not be able to do the plant tour this time. First visit for my wife to the museum.- Top

Re: NCM hotel recommendation
I'm not sure if your plans are final yet...maybe some new info to consider. The 'The 1869 Homestead Bed & Breakfast' that Tom mentioned is owned by Jan and Wendell Strode...he is the Executive Director of the National Corvette Museum. A stay at their place may yield a completely different experience for this trip to the NCM.
I have no personal experience or affiliation with them...just an FYI.
Enjoy the visit,

Re: NCM hotel recommendation
Wherever you decide to stay, ask them for the NCM discount. Some hotels/motels offer one and others don't, and some offer it only for those doing R8C delivery -- but it doesn't hurt to ask.
FWIW: My personal preference is the Hampton Inn, but I like those as I travel around the country anyway.Terry- Top
