    Carpet flaps

Looking for he proper way to cut the flaps that cover
the seat anchors in my 65 coupe? Also the carpet I took out had strips of
carpet cut out under the seat tracks, is that correct or
should there just be holes in the carpet for the front
    bolts?
    Thanks,
    Karl

    Re: Carpet flaps

Karl. The seat track does not sit on top of the carpet. The factory cut out the carpet and padding so that the seat tracks sit directly on top of the fiberglass. I've posted some photos of factory carpet cut outs from an original '65 convertible (the same technique used for both coupe and convertible).

    This should help.
    Good luck.

        Hi Anthony,
Are there supposed to be carpet flaps covering the rear mount brackets
or just covering the front part of the seat track?
        Thanks,
        Karl

Karl. The rear attachment does not use a flap--only the front rail. The rear cut out exposes the bracket where the rear seat rail slides into it. The flap is only at the front mounting point.

I think it requires some kind of "www." prefix, or at least "http:/" prefix, I'm not able to connect to anything beginning with "/Users", unless I'm doing something wrong.

                        Re: Carpet flaps

Ray. You need to make one correction to your 63-66 cut out diagram. You show a dotted (uncut) line on the forward flap edge. That should be a solid line since it is cut. The flap has 3 cut sides and one uncut (hinge) side.
