    3866948 intake bolts

    was studs with hex bolts used for the vacuum advance clip, and PCV hose bracket. like this

    Keith,
    no they were normal hex head bolts. The fuel filter retaining stud on 63-65's used a stud similar to that.

      ok thanks this is for my 66 Chevelle 396. on my Chevelle forum another person had a sept built 396 with a 948 intake and it had two of the studs in the intake.

        I don't know much about Chevelle's, but a stud like that was used on some 375HP cars to hold the fuel line block to the intake manifold.

        The same configuration was used in 1969 on Corvettes with the L88 engine. Attached is the picture of the stud on a 1969 Corvette L88.

          I was thinking since the 396 with the 948 intake was built along side the Corvette 427 with the 948 intake they would build them the same

            According to the 69 AIM, the stud was added at the final assembly plant and not the engine.
