I have a big block automatic and am having trouble finding a carb that matches the number in the judging manual. The manual states that the number S/B 7044225. I currently have a 7044205 and have a lead on a 7044223. Can anyone help with these numbers and tell me if 1.) the number 7044225 is correct? and 2.) if you have any leas on a carb that has my correct number and 3Q73 data? thanks

Everything I have shows the 225 to be the correct application with the exception of a California vehicle.Tom Hendricks

A GM #7044223 carb was used for 1974 passenger cars, Chevelles and Monte Carlos with 454 and THM-400. It was not used for Corvettes.
I can't find any record, at all, of GM #7044205.
A GM #7044225 will be difficult to locate. That's because it was used only for 1974 Corvettes with 454 and THM-400.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
