Can anyone tell me what years used the yellow stamp ( OK FINAL TEST CHEVY) on the A/6 compressors.

Practice was common for a range of years (including the mid-year cars). Why is exact start/stop point in time important????

Jack,
I am restoring a number of A-6 compressors back to original and have all the special tooling and experiance in rebuilding them. All have been tamrered with a number of times and the original stickers and paint are gone.
The parts are getting VERY hard to find and I purchased the stamp and foils but do not have the knowledge on the years they were stamped. They need to be as original as possible and the foils are not hard to get, I just need to know which to stamp.
