Rechroming Door Posts and Windshield posts

1962 vette:

On the Windshield post there are the 2 studs on the bottom, and on the door post the 1 stud plus a pin.

Should I leave these there when I send them out to be rechromed?

(As a side note I did check the windshield tabs and they are intact)

i leave the studs in the potmetal and when the parts return from the chrome plater, if he didn't tape the studs, i simply run a die over the stud to rejuvenate the threads.its easier than running a tap in the potmetal door/windshield posts.mike
