Another 62 horn button question..

Several questions
-I think I'm missing a round plate w/2 screws on the bottom of my hub, please look at my hub and drawing.
-I think my horn contact is wrong. My contact(see ruler dimention)is approximately 1/4 to 5/16 tall and if you compare that with the drawing from assem manual I dont think its tall enough to clip onto horn button.
-could someone please compare these w your car and see if I'm not imagining things. Pics of a working example would be appreciated.

to determine if the horn contact is correct, try snapping the horn button into the horn contact. if it snaps in and stays, it'll probably work. the 62 vette horn contact was used for many GM makes and models in the 50, 60's anmd 70's. and i've never seen but one style, size wise, of the contact. good luck,mike

Problem is that it does snap in but it is tight against the steering wheel and cant toggle. That's why I'd like someone to measure the hight of their contact.
