Vacumm booster

My 72 BB needs a new brake vacumm booster. My old one is about 8.5 - 9" Dia. Is there a smaller one that that will fit/work ( hyd. PB ? )as I wish to eliminate the dimple in the left valve cover.

Ray, about the only thing that I can think of that would open up that area would be a hyd. power booster sold by Vette Brake products,There not cheap.they work on the with the power steering pump.( if you have p/strg.).

What sort of left side valve cover do you have? The original 1969-74 big block valve covers had a more-or-less even, "60 degree" slant on the rear of the left side valve cover and not the "flattened corner" of the 1965-E68 style.

In any event, I don't think you'll find a smaller OD booster that will work for you.

There are some 8" and a few 7" boosters out there it's just a matter of locating who sells them
