    American Motoring Memories

    Guys,

I do not know if this is ok, but here it goes. Wanted to tell about my fantastic experience with Jeff Reade at American Motoring Memories. Took my car there on Friday morning (on appointment) to have some oil leaks fixed. I am unable to do some of this work due to neck surgery last year, and this is truly the first time that I let any body touch a vehicle of mine! (excluding new car warranty work). We looked it over together and agreed it was both the oil pan and the intake manifold at back. (original style rail gasket). He told me he would have it done in a couple of days, gave me a ballpark on the hours and his rate. I told him I did not want it to leak! He called this morning (2 days later!) and told me it was done. Went and picked it up this afternoon. I was a little apprehensive because I did not know the charges yet. I will tell you that he charged 2 hours for R&R on the intake, and 2 hours R&R on the oil pan. Think about the last time you did either one of these! He also cleaned the whole motor, frame rails and trans for 1 more hour. I know Jeff has been recommended on this board before and I thank Jim Gessner for recommending him to me also. Can not say enough good things about the whole experience. If you ever need any work done on your Corvette in the So. Cal. area I highly recommend them.
BTW. I really don't think Jeff needs the extra right up as he seems to always have a full shop, just could not help expressing my satisfaction. One more thing.....NO MORE OIL ON TH FLOOR.....BEEN THERE FOR A FEW HOURS, after driving 100 miles home!

    John,

I always enjoy hearing about a good experience with a shop! It may be just a bit far for me to use (I live in St. Louis). But any excuse to visit So. Cal is good enough for me!
