What Recession ? ('67 cars versus their parts)

EBay auction for an original early L71 1111258 distributor, in rough shape. The tach gear rotates, but magnet cracked in 3 places. Winner paid $720. This, while prices continue to fall on the cars themselves. Time to part-out ?

But the interesting technical feature of this auction is that, at least on early 1967 435HP cars, (this distrib. assembled 30th August 1966), the distributor housing is still the '65-6 BB style, with the partially filled oil groove. I know there exists two camps of thought on this.

    Wayne,

These cars have generally been worth more in parts that whole, that has always been the reason theft and chop shops exist. Applies to new cars and trucks today as well.

Wayne - Remember "Parts is Parts," but NOS and Used Original Parts are Best. . "Don't cut corners." Those 67 guys are crazy. Pete

If anyone has a '67 emergency brake handle (assembly) for sale, I will be at Corvettes @ Carlisle to purchase one. Please PM me. Thanks. Warren
