1962 Trunk Weatherstripping question

Hello,

Will someone please post some pictures showing the trunk weather stripping installed? (Looking for a picture showing the edge,a corner, and area near trunk latch)

I am trying to determine how close to the edge the weather-stripping was installed?

I am also looking to see where the 2 ends butted up near the latch hook.

I am getting ready to install some "correct" repro stuff, and if I put it at the very edge like it was previously on my car (not sure if it was original or PO done), I need to stretch it to make the ends butt together.

That weatherstripping around the trunk is supposed to have a 1/2" gap between the ends near the latch area, which is there to allow water to escape to the drain holes in the corners.

Thank you for the info,. and the pic.

When I got the car, half of the weatherstripping was gone, so I was not sure how it went exactly.

FWIW, I think the gap is supposed to be more like 1/8/"
