If you mean the convector (the finned heat sink device with the big output transistor on it), its mounting is shown in the U69 section of your Assembly Manual.- Top

You're "flying blind" trying to maintain a 41-year-old car without it; suggest you click on the "NCRS Store" icon at the top of the page and order one, along with the 1969 Chassis Service Manual (and the Owner's Manual, if you don't have that too).- Top

Hi James,
You made me look.
I don't see very much info in the CSM either; page 15-17. Just a little information on removing the radio itself from the gauge cluster, and some bulb and antenna info that doesn't apply to Corvettes.
When you get your AIM look in the accessories section at the back of the manual.... UPC U69, Sheet A2.
