    Carlisle venders question

Well I am getting my wish list together for my 72 air car for this years Corvettes of Carlisle. Does anyone know of a vender that does sell recondition original radiator caps there? Or am I stuck looking for a used one to be reconditioned. Also is there any venders there that deals in interior parts for C3 cars? thanks for your responses Ed.

    Re: Carlisle venders question

I have a few original RC-15s that need restoring although I'm told John Pirkle no longer does restorations. Someone here can put you in the right direction on that. Several friends of mine bought original RC-15s for show but use DeWitt's new RC-15s for driving. I do.

    Thanks,

When Pirkle was doing them and it seems someone else I vaguely recall that there were problems with not having flat rivets. I'm interested if Joe Peeri can do that and the cost. Sometimes the cost makes one consider alternatives.

          Re: Carlisle venders question

          Hi Edward,
For the interior parts you asked about, Al Knock has traditionally been a good source for seat covers, door trim panels, and carpet sets. He has a large display and inventory on hand.
A vendor called Smart Parts always has a large selection of small parts... knobs, lenses, screws, trim pieces, hoses, clamps, etc. but are mostly reproduction parts so you need to be selective. Original interior parts are more scattered among the smaller vendors.
Are you planning to come on Thursday, although all the vendors aren't set up yet it a very worthwhile day to scout.
          Regards,
          Alan

Ed at Carlisle Joe Perri is on "J" row I beleave between 70 and 80 but I may be wrong. But he is on "J" row thats for sure and he always has a supply of restored RC-15 or NOS and a few of his friends may also have some. He can recondition yours if you have one Phone 312-307-1977. You could send him your cap or make sure he has what you want at Carlisle and tell you the cost for yours restored or one outright. Paul 18046
