    Correct 1962 Ignition shield

    Hello,

I am digging through the boxes of stuff I got with the car and trying to figure out which of these 2 ignition shields is correct. See the attached pictures. Is it #1 or #2? The car does not have FI.

The one that is not for the 62, any idea what it goes to?

    Thanks,
    Tony

No. 1 is NOT for a C1 Corvette. No.2 is for a C1, but hard to tell if it is a '62 for me. The slots in back for the mounting wing nuts, for me, need to be seen.

      # 1 looks like a '64 with the two metal rivets are a dead giveaway.

        Not #1.

Could be #2. Depends on what the back of the top shield looks like. #2 will fit your car. The two #2 verticals are correct. The JG has drawings of the cut-outs in the back to distinguish the 62s from the other years.

I believe the #2 distributor ignition shield you show is correct for a carburator 1962 model. My eyes now hurt from squinting at your picture and page 59 of the JG.
