C2 Carpet Dye

Need to dye a section of my black carpet. Have used the RIT brand before however find it leaves the carpet very stiff. Anyone have a better product and/or advice on this.

never had any luck dying rugs or vinyl. mike

Mike, Used some of that RIT back in the 70's however after a while (not sure of how long) the carpet becomes very stiff. Beside that effect it worked fine and stayed black until removed 5 years ago for some NCRS judging quality carpet (fronts only) The black has a tenancy to turn brown where the sun shines.
