1986 Courtesy Lights right and left doors

I am looking for the plastic courtesy lights for both doors. The switch is broken. I have the low voltage light bulbs but I can not find a reproduction or original replacement part. Anyone have a source?

    Thanks Kim

I know that most Corvette parts supply houses have a repair kit for these lights, but the kits only contain a new wireing harness & bulbs and not the plastic lens cover.

You might try VintageParts to see if they still have the OEM part number. If this does not work then go to a salvage yard and pickup an OEM assembly in reasonably good shape & rebuild it yourself. I did mine that way. It was fairly easy & they both work great now. FWIW.

The lamp part numbers were GM #5974773, left side, and GM #5974774, right side. They're long-since GM-discontinued without supercession. Components of these assemblies were never available separately from GM. These will be tough to find in NOS form. Vintage Parts has no inventory of them, either.

            Gentlemen,

I was checking with the people at corvette world for the replacement of the broken courtesy lights. They suggested C & S Corvettes. I contacted C & S after looking up their telephone number from their web sight. They had the parts in stock. I purchased the parts and they arrived in three days. The parts were from wrecked or salvaged corvettes that have been disassembled and the parts put in stock for resale.
