I saw this on Craigslist. Anybody interested. I have nothing to do with the add. If it's real might make someone a nice LT-1. Save the Wave.>George

Re: 1970 Corvette LT-1 Convertible
Hi,
I understand the message board is not for promoting cars or items that are for sale. I am only responding to the prevoius posts discussing my car.
The car and ad you mention is mine. It will be coming out in the next issue of the Driveline.
Everything in the ad is accurate - it is a very nice, numbers matching, unrestored LT-1. Regarding the windshield frame rust - it apprears to me to be limited to the left and right hand side frames and the upper frame area. I do not believe the area below that would have to be replaced.- Top

Dave,
I respect and admire your honesty in disclosing the potential issue. Most sellers would not be so forthright. Good luck with the sale.- Top

Re: 1970 Corvette LT-1 Convertible
Only for part of the model year Ed. Working from memory after April 1970 one could get power steering in a 1970 Corvette. Same years ago (early '90s) we did a story in The Corvette Restorer on this very subject.
Short story: CTU coded engines did not get power steering and CTK coded engines may have had power steering.Terry- Top
