1958 Fan Shroud Reprod Precision
I need to purchase a fan shroud for a 1958. Is there a specific manufacturer or catalog sales company that has a good track record for precise OEM fit? Thank you ahead of time for your assistance.

I would say that most suppliers get them from the same manufacturer. However, as anything these days, it will likely not fit too well and may require modification.
Case in point.......The supplier in Sawyer Michigan that builds the 58-60 radiator supports still doesn't know how to make them. They forget to cutout the notches in the horizontal top bar for the hood hinges. Spent a hour today removing the repro from the new front end I'm installing on a 59, just because they forgot those cuts.
Sorry I'm being so negative but everything I worked on today that touched a reproduction piece did not fit!
Even worse, if that piece was touching another reproduction piece, the outcome was like fitting a square peg in a round hole!

Thanks for the reply and for sharing the mutual frustration of replacement parts. I think that I'll have to accept that modifications are to be expected.

paul mazut in becket,ma can add the 2 keystone stampings and proper holes to anyones shroud. he also sells the complete assembly.Comment
