    Hats off to the Heartland Regional

    Just got home from the Heartland Regional in Des Moines. Great meet! My thanks to all of the Iowa chapter members who hosted a very nice and well run Regional. Dick, Don, Bill, Mike, Todd and the rest--many thanks for putting on the event! The weather was a bit challenging at times, and with Mike Murray's good standing with the man above, I thought Mike would come through with less rain, but no matter. It was a really good meet.

    Congratulations to Gene Leonard upon winning his master judge's hat. Nice going Gene!

          Kay and I had a great time in the west. Hospitality was superb! The Dennis Albaugh collection was a treat. A REAL Chevy lover indeed.

              Great job! Good location and the Dennis Albaugh collection was a bit of memory lane. Too bad I can no longer afford the cars I drove in high school.

                  I just waked in the door after 905 miles and I'm glad to see you started a thread about a great event with a lot great people! The Heartland group did an amazing job and I also thank them for their efforts.

                          Thanks for the great comments. All of us Heartland members really enjoyed putting on this regional. We just wish the rain had stayed away!!!

                          I personally enjoyed meeting alot of you and seeing fantastic cars.
