Front Parking Lenses - white to yellow?

When were the front parking lenses changed from white to yellow (well, amber) color?
The Corvette Action Center names this change to be done from the 71 to 72 model year.
Possible that some 71s were delivered with yellow lenses - export maybe?

As far as I know, the change of color for the front parking/turn signal lamp lenses occurred for the 1972 model year. I have no information or verification that it occurred earlier. Keep in mind that the 70-71 and 72 lenses are functionally interchangeable. Since there is so little external difference between 70-71 and 72 Corvettes, some folks may have changed the lenses to "update" their cars (i.e. turn their 70 or 71 into a 72). Most likely, if this were done, it would have been done very early-on.
