    70 hood release cable retainer

This is the brass barrel that the cable goes through where it attaches to keep the cable in the male latch. I actually have two and they are different lengths. One has a slotted pan head screw and one has hex head screw.

    Which one is correct?

    Thanks, Bill

I say the slightly shorter one with a zinc plated hex head pinch bolt.

      Hi Bill,
I was curious so I looked.
My 71's 'keeper' is a barrel 3/8" long with a phillips type, round head screw.
      So, variations?
      Regards,
      Alan

Well that would be the shorter of the two. I have a hex head bolt too.

Curious to see if anyone else chimes in regarding the screw.

        Thanks!
