    Rear strut cam lob position

For A 73, is the cam lob supposed to be in the up or down position.
The AIM shows up. The drawing in the service manual shows up but the picture in the service manual shows down.

    Which is correct?

Re: Rear strut cam lob position

I don't know what is "correct", but I keep the top of the lobe on the high side. This places the inner strut pivot point as low as possible to keep the roll center as low as possible, which enhances dynamic stability.

It's probably more critical on a C2, which has a higher rear roll center to begin with, and C2s can be a real handful at the limit.

The redesigned C3 inner strut mount bracket places the pivot point lower than on a C2 to lower the rear roll center.

Looks like I'll be putting the cam lob high

      Thanks
