1970 Odometer Reset Cable

My brain fade is acting up. Is the odometer reset cable housing threaded into the speedo? What size wrench is required to remove it? Thanks.

It does thread into the back of speedo. wrench size ? 3/8 7/16

Might be a good idea to start with a 1/2"(?) wrench. That would be to remove the driver seat, thereby enabling you a little better access to the back side of the speedo head. You'll likely want to drop the steering column too. You're gonna LOVE this job. I came away cross-eyed after my turn. I had a hell of a time seeing the connection, let alone getting the wrench on it properly.

As I said in an earlier post on the subject, the replacement of the trip odo reset cable is one of the most memorable/difficult jobs I've done in the 5 years I've owned my car...
