'63-'65 FI Air Cleaner Element Cone Originality

Could anyone confirm whether either (or both) of the attached cones are original? The main difference appears to be in the metal perforated screen material. I ran these by Mr. DeGregory and he gave me his selection, but suggested that I solicit other opinions. Thanks.

The one on the left does not look correct to me. RJ

Hi Jim Bensko, Seee. I was correct for a change. Jim sent me the pics guys and I said the one on the right was correct.
The one on the left is Podells.
Today those cones make nice paperweights as aren't worth a crap. Forget using NOS elements as they are coming apart making far too much work for an old man.
Go the modern route with the Ford element, etc. JD

I've never had a problem using NOS elements.....EVER.

Maybe you should stop storing your NOS ones next to your furnace RJ

Does anyone know for sure when Podell started making these?

Can someone tell me exactly which Ford element to use?

per a discussion some time back, NAPA gold AC 6416 appeared to be the unit of choice.

                    Bill,
I was under the impression that it was a Ford product. Am I missing something? Thanks
