64 convertable is this carb correct

I have a 64 with a 327 300hp engine. It has a carter AFB with a plate riveted to the top rim that says " Competion Series 625 CFM " How can I find out if this carb is correct or not?

Just flip your copy of the '63-64 Judging Guide to Mechanical, Carb and read the description of factory original AFB's...

I notice that you're a new member--welcome!!! The carb you have is somewhat the right style, but incorrect. If I recall, you need a 3720 or a 3721--that would be stamped on the right front flange where carb meets the intake manifold.

3720 for PG or 3721 for manual trans 300 hp car.

The carb. you have is the type you buy from jegs or summet for any hot rod. not oriiginal
