My 1970 350 has an engine build date of Feb 4. What dates are acceptable for the Q-jet carb for NCRS judging? Thanks.

Re: 70 carb date vs engine build date
The carburetor was installed at St. Louis, so the relevant date is your body build date, not the engine assembly date. For early C3s we use the date on the trim tag as the assembly date. You need a carburetor dated six months or less before that build date.
That date code for 1970 Corvettes (stamped after the word CHEVROLET on the upper right hand corner of the trim tag, which is above the upper hinge of the driver's door) will be B = February with the following two numbers being the day of the month.Terry- Top

Re: 70 carb date vs engine build date
Thanks, Terry. The build date on the trim tag is B14 so a carb dated Jan 14 (0140) should be OK, right? Thanks so much.- Top
