    New exhaust system vs spare

    Hi!

    Can anyone tell me if the space between the mufflers and the spare tire try ass. is ok. it's about 0.5 inch. see pics.

      Twan,

      If you look in your 1965 Corvette assembly manual, UPC 8, sheet A3, you will see "1.0+/- .25 BOTH SIDES" (in other words, 0.75" to 1.25") labeled as the minimum separation between the muffler and spare tire cover.
      This would be about 19mm to 32 mm in the metric system.
