    renewing vacuum connections

I know the trick of snipping off a hose end to get back to non-stretched hose section, but under the dash of my 69 there are some rubber angle blocks that connect to the override valves and then at a 90 degree angle to the hoses via tiny metal hose connectors. I haven't found replacements listed in catalogs. These rubber blocks fit very loose tho they don't seem hardened or brittle. I checked with my little mityvac and isolated these rubber block connections as having some serious vacuum leaks around them. Any trick to sealing these up? Or just connect the hoses directly to the override valves?

Phil, two of my plastic "Y's" cracked so I repaired them with Gorilla/Super Glue and they operate perfectly. Try some good rubber glue as I think anything nonadhesive probably will not last.

      Hi Phil,
I found a similar situation on the valves on my 71.
I put a single wind of black electrical tape around each of the nipples and that seemed to increase the diameter just enough to improve the seal with the 90 degree connector.
      Regards,
      Alan
