I expect this has been asked many times before but I can't seem to find it in the archives.
Is there a list somewhere that will tell me who the original dealer was that my brother's '62 was delivered to?

David, if you don't have the paper work or know the early owner(s) then unfortunatley no. No GM info. on old US delivered cars. How far back do you know the history?
Steve, I have most of the names of previous owners back to 1967. I have contacted the 1967 owner "Woody" and he is digging into what he has to send me. He bought from a dealer in Chattanooga TN Four Star Motors that is now out of business, taken over by a dealer JW Motors that does not answer the phone but let's a voicemail system answer. I have not left a message as of yet.
I am trying to track down who owned it before that dealer. Woody says the story at the dealer was a kids father bought it for the kid who raised too much hell with it and the father took it away from the kid and sold it to the out of business dealer. I am looking for the name of the father or the kid. I do have the title that Woody signed over to the next owner after him and on that title is a previous title or registration number out of Florida. I cant seem to find a way to get access to those records to get a name from the title number. Anyone have a way to access Florida title searches? Damn privicy laws!
