Original 1966 Power brake booster

How can I tell if I have the original power brake booster on my 66 coupe? What do I have to look for? My car has a build date of Dec. 7 1965. Thanks for any info........

Larry,
Do you have any numbers on the tabs front or back at the ten and two o'clock positions? Look for the part numbers "7011" and a Julian date. They might help in identifying your booster.

Without any numbers or letters on the tabs is most likely a replacement.

I believe Michael is right, it is most likely a replacement. You can get re-pops with the right part number from one of the brake parts company's (I think SSB) but if you put it side by side for a comparison you will see differences. If you need a correct part try one of the booster re-builders like Steve Gregori (Brake Boosters Inc) for the correct part and date.
