Does anyone know of a supplier for smooth brake hose lines?

nobody, to my knowledge, repos the smooth rubber tubing and the unique to original fittings found on original c-1 brake hoses. i searched ebay for a couple years to come up with three hoses for my recently restored 57. the NOS hoses scored well but i sure as hell won't have them on the vette when i PV the car in a couple weeks, after all, the rubber is damn near old as i am and not to be trusted(nor am i)mike

sanding the ribs off a repo won't get you the correct fitting that the steel tubing fitting threads into.mike

All of the currently available brake hoses I've seen use a slightly smaller OD hose than originals. It's not a huge difference, but it's rather easily discernable.

joe is correct in that the OD of the repos is less than that of originals. however, its the inlet fitting of the repos that differs considrably from that of originals. the fitting of originals is one piece with a"flat washer' integral to the rest of the fitting. with the two piece repo fitting, the "flat washer" rotates on the main portion of the fitting. mike

Talking about original parts under a Corvette what flight award has judges inspect under the Corvette.Are they looking at every part like the brake hose washers and more and so on Thanks

roy: it appears you've never judged the chassis section during flight judging. i rarely leave the showfield without grass/blacktop/oil stains on my t-shirts after i've judged chassis.mike

I've done many engine areas ,interior and body fit . I do remember in 05 when my 55 was judged they hated to get under the vett because they knew I drive and came out saying %*&^# .
