88 Corvette hub cap key

A friend of mine says he has lost the key for his 88 vettes center cap. Anybody got any advice on how to get another? Carl Hamilton

GM never sold the wrenches as a separate item. They were sold only as a kit which included 4 locking bolts and a wrench. Even that kit, GM #10097588, is now GM discontinued. However, even if one could get the kit for a complete replacement, it would not help with getting off the bolts that are presently installed on the car.

I don't know what company manufactured these, particular, locking bolts and wrenches. However, it MIGHT be AMCOR. If so, they might be able to help, but the problem will be identifying the particular locking bolts on the car. The phone number I have for AMCOR HiVol Products Division is (313)458-8920. That's an old reference, though; I don't know if that number is still any good.
