I'm assuming that a 72 LS5 (4-speed, with air, if that makes any difference) does not use a TCS relay behind the tach. AIM LS5 p. A10 shows a "jumper strip" (view A) in that location. Am I reading that correctly? And exactly what is a 8905858 jumper strip?
Thanks!
Am I correct in assuming, although it looks like a more modern fuse, that it is not, and instead simply effects an electrical connection between the two wires it connects?
Mike that part is (was) just a shorting clip, the service manual wiring diagram doesn't really show enough detail to see exactly how it is used, it was onluyused on the LS5, per the service manual, looks like used in place of the TCS delay relay? Think of a stamped brass bar with an insulating coating in the center.
