To help our combat our gas with alky in it try this rebuilt kit advertised on ebay. I bought one for my 63 FI car and am impressed with it. The rubber is not the buna rubber crap that swells up like Krispy creme with corn fuel.

One problem that I see: they say that the diaphragm is made of neoprene. There is nothing especially high-tech about neoprene; it's been used for many automotive applications for years. Besides that, Buna-N rubber is more resistant to most solvents, including the components of gasoline and ethyl alcohol, than neoprene. Buna-N is also more heat resistant, although that's not much of a factor for fuel pumps.
