Owners of 5 Original GRAND SPORTS ??

Has anyone recorded the Owners of the Original 5, from '62 to '09, since
#002 was just passed from RM to the Simeone Museum.
This is a trivia question on the Heritage of the Original 5 Grand Sports.....

#002: Roger Penske, Ed Mueller, Jim Jaeger (Bob Craig restoration), Fred Simeone.

#003: John Mecom, Bob Patterson, Tom Armstrong, Larry Bowman.

#004: John Mecom, Jamie Mazzotta, Miles Collier Collection (Bob Craig restoration).

    #005: John Mecom, Bill Tower.

For GS #1..... There was someone between Penske and Buxbaum but I can't think of his name. Buxbaum sold to Jerome Shinkay. Shinkay sold to Jim Purvis. I think Purvis sold to Schiavone.

IIRC when Buxbaum had it he did the red/red restoration, or did someone before him do it?

That's correct. When the car arrived at Buxbaum's Classic Motors", it was ROUGH!! Raced hard for several years, then parked. (possibly outside)

Richard knew that Shinkay would buy it after restoration, especially if it was red.

Purvis bought the car from Shinkay and re-restored it and brought it back to a point in time when it was blue. (it's current color)

1st two pic's are GS #1 the day it arrived at Classic Motors.

Jerry "OJ" Hanna between Penske and Buxbaum, approximately the 1968 time frame. OJ got three "back door" L88 engines for the car simply by phoning Duntov and asking for some help.

Which VIN was this one ? At Mosport Ontario in Sept 1965 (or '67; I'd have to check my slide dates). Sponsored by Duval Motors (local Montreal Chev dealer). IIRC, this showed up sometime later in Road & Track classifieds for around $5000.

Richard Sievers (sp?) of Austin, TX owned GS#001 in the early '70's. I saw it parked behind his house, covered with a tarp. I met Richard through a mutual friend who recommended that I get him to set up the differential from my '67 that I had broken while drag racing.
