    Alternator

Does anyone out there know what number alternator is used in a 1966 Vet with air conditioning 327 300 hp.? The fourth edition judging manual says 1100694 55 amps. The person I'm buying the alternator from says the manual is wrong and it should be 1100750 61 amps.

    Tom,

I can't say that this web page is the gospel, but here it is:

    Do you have transistor ignition?

Incidentally, I think you may have meant to post your question on the TDB and not here. This is for getting help with the board type questions.

The 750 alternator is the correct unit for A/C equipped 66-68 cars.In 1969 all Corvettes got an internal regulator(SI) alternator(P/N 1100825,1100882,1100884)

In Noland Adams book it states that the 327/300 Base engine with Air conditioning uses the 1100750 61 amp Alt and has several vin examples showing this fact.
