...I'll probably stick with the original Brands Hatch Green exterior. The pictures helped a lot and seeing a completed green interior has me leaning towards that as well...
Of course, if you do change it, and it is no longer a numbers matching car...that makes all our numbers matching cars that much more rare and valuable! See, there is an upside
Hey - thanks for all the input! I'll probably stick with the original Brands Hatch Green exterior. The pictures helped a lot and seeing a completed green interior has me leaning towards that as well.
I agree, but am a bit biased since mine is green.
You have the hard stuff (motor, etc.) still original so why lose it now on the color? But, with that said, do what ultimately makes you happy! Good luck either way.
cheaper to sell it and buy one the color you want. it took me 5 years to find a red lt1 vert but i found one. i wanted a red with tan but got a red with black and i am going to leave it like that. it limits the time i can use the car because black interior and no ac does not work good durring hot atlanta summers.
for the most part i am a corvette purist. i like them how they were when new. however it all depends on what you are going to do with the car. if its going to be a driver than you want it to be how you like it. if you have to remove any original parts like wheels or something like that, thats fine as long as you keep what you took off to sell with the car. i am recreating my high school car. a red 72 lt1 vert. all my friends thought i lost my mind when i added the 69 side exhaust to the car but thats what my high school car had. the exhaust that was on the car when i got it was not correct anyway so no harm. i am almost done with this car. i hope to be driving this car next warm sunny day. i also have a 70 lt1 vert that i am restoring. i want this car to be correct in every way like it or not.
John, If the photos of Roy's car don't make you change your mind and stay green nothing will. What a gorgeous car. And I LOVE my Targa Blue.
