I would like to have my frame checked to make sure everything is in alignment. The body is on the car, but no motor. Should this be done with the body on or off the car? Also, can this be done with the current "modern equipment" or must it be done by "hand". Thanks. Richard

Re: C1 Frame alignment
You can do it by hand with the body on. I have C1 frame specs from Tru Way if you need them. You can make your initial checks with a tram gauge or some manual frame gauges. Modern computerized frame measuring systems would not have any measurements for a C1 in their data base.- Top

Re: C1 Frame alignment
Some of the old front end alignment/frame shops which have been in business since the Civil War days will have BOTH the specs and equipment to make any measurements as well as frame adjustments on most cars. Although. I will admit that these kinds of shops are becoming scarce these days.
In the Okla City area, there is only one place that I trust for these kinds of frame/suspension work.- Top
