help identifying an old crane cam

disassembled an old 870 that appears to have been blueprinted. its cam is a nearly new crane with the following info stamped on the back end: Crane Blazer 300 F (or possibly 30C F but favor the former) and 11-2183.nothing stamped on the timing chain end of the cam. i googled crane but couldn't find the application for this old beast. thanks, mike

I think the identifying number is 11-2183. However, I can't find anything on that number. It's a fairly old number and I can't find it used for any Crane cam in the last 20 years.

I had a similar circumstance with a twenty-year old 300C cam. But it was back a couple of years ago, when Crane still existed. The tech guy I spoke to emailed me the specs. Those were the good old days.

Doc, I think that the Blazer cams were late '70's maybe early '80's cams. They had some weird designations. I have an old R260-360-2-12 Crane roller still in the box, but have lost the spec sheet. Cannot find anything out about it.

dickie and joe: based on the dates stamped in the clevite 77 main and rod bearings, i'd guess the crane came dates from the early to mid 70's. mike
