I am replacing fan shroud and thanks to my NCRS education am trying to replace any parts with OE or as close to original parts within reason. I see two suppliers Paragon and Corvette Central as possible suppliers. The CC lists a replacement for around $170 and Paragon lists a 3 piece unit for about twice the price. Any guidence as to these parts or another direction for a supplier.

Re: Fan Shroud
The CC replacement is a hand-laid fiberglass part, not press-molded; the difference will be obvious. They also have the "correct" press-molded 3-piece bonded part, probably the same part Paragon has.- Top

Re: Fan Shroud
Walter the three parts of the shroud are bonded together. Where the parts join you should grind the area for better adhesion. Then just get a good fiberglass bonding material from Evercoat or some other company. Use plenty of bonding material and if it ooze's out and runs down the shroud thats fine. All the original shrouds I have seen have the bonding material running out from the bonding area. DO NOT use rivets.- Top

Re: Fan Shroud
Dale never saw any dated shrouds. Evercoat is company that has products for fiberglass repair.- Top

I, for one, am FASCINATED by the responses; mainly, because I apparently CANNOT find the entry where it was revealed What Model Year & What Motor we are dealing with.
Obviously, I missed it and will blame the computor for bad electronics.- Top
