    1954/chambersburg,pa

    last saturday,oct 31 there was an auction of vintage chevrolets at the former eastland motors in chambersburg pa. there were 3 very old chevs. 2 1914's and a1917 chev 490. my freind bought the 1917. there also was 54 corvette with 35,186 miles that sold. 'just wondering!! did anyone from the ncrs or even someone from MAC that might have purchased it. thnx,pappy

      i intended to go to the auction in hopes of acquiring the 1914 Royual Mail. two days before the auction, i spoke with the auctioneer who stated the Royal was pulled and wouldn't be auctioned. hence i didn't go. a buddy went and said the 54 vette was POS. mike
