    1968 Wiper Door Solenoid

The previous owner of my 68 removed all the items to control the wiper door. I have since replaced them but, I'm not sure how to hook the electric part up on the solenoid. (Rear Of Tach) Thanks for any info.

The relay is basically a solenoid with electrical and vacuum ports. The electrical hook-up should be obvious. The relay bolts to the back of the tach and dash harness wiring from the wiper switch connects.

On the mechanical side, the relay has three ports. One is vac in (from the engine compartment), the opposite is vac out (to the under steering column override switch and beyond).

The third nipple is unconnected as that's the vacuum vent port. Factory original relays had a small piece of foam fixed to the vac vent port serving as a filter. But, these typically fell off with time/age...
