C2 Wire Harness Question

We have just installed new Wire Harness's for the 67 and note that the TI Harness is wrapped in "friction cloth" material and the Forward and Engine Harnesses are wrapped in the Vinyl wrap material. All harnesses were purchased from Lectric however it seems odd that both wrap materials differ. I can't find any reference to this in any books I currently have and original harnesses on the car have been played with over the years so I wouldn't use them as a reliable reference for this.

Would appreciate comment on what is correct.

In '67, the primary wiring harnesses were wrapped with 1 inch wide .007 thick PVC Black tape. (without adhesive) The TI harness was indeed wrapped with friction tape.

yep that is what my original harness has

That is the way all original harnesses were constructed until the start of the 1969 model year, when the change in vinyl tape to 1.3 inches was made. I was working in the area that implemented the change at the time.
