LARRY MEGABEAU ( not sure of spelling)

I own a 1963 red coupe that originally came to the New York area in the late 70s. The car was part of a display at THE GLASS CAR CO. in Butler N.J.. I have been told the owner of Glass Car was a fellow named LARRY MEGABEAU who was not quite honest in his auto sales dealings. He was imprisoned and later died. I know this is not a tech question but was wondering if anyone from N.J. might have any info on him.
    Thanks,
    John 16303

Might try contacting the chamber of commerce in that area for any records or info. Also, you might try contacting the local library in that area. They maybe able to access past newspaper ads or articles, possibly even an obituary of the business owner.

I used to go up on Saturday's and marvel at what was on display. I would say 5-7 AC Cobra's and 15 or so Vettes. Word was that most of the cars were on consignment and he sold them and skipped town. My favorite was a Black BB 67 Coupe with the white stinger. I'm sure I still have the magazine article here somewhere.

I just ran across an old invoice from June of 1978 where we sold the Glass Car Co. a 78 Pace car. Their location on the invoice is listed as Springfield, MO ?? Did they have more than one location ??

BTW, the pace car was VIN # 4407. I would be happy to provide a copy of this invoice if the owner is around anywhere !

              Hi John,
I remember going there in the 70's and looking at all the cars. Many cobras and I also remember a white on white 65 fuelie convertible that I wanted to buy but was in high school and could not swing it. I heard he moved to Florida and then out of the country. That's a great '63 you have.

From what I remember, after his problem with the law, he passed away.
