1960 How Far Down Should My Window Go

I'm fooling around with my side window and noticed if I push the little stopper on the top of the door torwards the felt strip it stops the window from going down to vanishing point. The front section of the glass stays exposed around 2 inches. So I'm trying to figure out what the window position should stop at when going down. Is it all the way down, that would make sense so I can rest my arm on the door while driving. What was the factory installed height was it flush with the stainless trim when fully down ? Stewy

All 56-62 side windows SHOULD go down like this.
