Larry just checked some of my loose D-409 rotors and they all have some type of number embossed on top of the rotor. Some but not all have a E stamped on the contact arm. John is correct in saying that the Accel is a great replacement. The Accel is a little heavier which tells me its a little more on the heavy duty side. I have a couple of NOS D-409 rotors still in the pull-string box, can anyone tell me if the rotors in the pull-string box will have a E stamped on the contact arm?
Michael:
I believe that the rotors with the "E" stamped on the brass contact arm are D-409 R. The D-409 (no R) should not have this mark.....and they will also have the longer brass contact arm.
